As Shoppers continue to experiment as app developers make mobile shopping easier. Nielsen survey recently revealed that 45 million Americans used an app for shopping or commerce in June 2012. These users accessed shopping apps an average of 17 times or more during the month.
Shopping apps for Ebay and Amazon attracted 13 million and 12 million unique users, respectively. Groupon and LivingSocial attracted more than 10 million Americans.
Conclusion: Once users are attracted to and use apps for shopping they tend to be repeat users. So, our goal should be to help our customers create a habit of using mobile for shopping.
